During a demo at Comdex for Windows 98, the USB plug-and-play system was being shown off. A scanner was plugged in, then BANG! Blue Screen of Death. Just goes to show you that "Dear aunt, let's set so double the killer delete select all" wasn't the first Microsoft sales presentation to fail spectacularly
