பறவைக்காக தன் வாழ்க்கையையே அர்ப்பணித்துக்கொண்ட ஒரு மனிதரைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்கு தெரியுமா? வாழ்கையின் ஆரம்ப நாட்களில் இருந்தே வசதிகள் எதுவும் இல்லாத நிலையிலும் , ஒரு நாள் ஒரு சிறிய பறவை தன்னிடம் வந்து தஞ்சம் புகுந்து அவருடைய வாழ்கையின் போக்கையே மாற்ற ,அதன் பின் பறவைகளைக் கொன்று வேட்டையாடி வந்த அவர் அந்தப் பறவை இனத்திற்காகவே தன் சொந்த வாழ்வை சமர்ப்பித்து கொண்டார் ..
உலகில் பறவைகள் என்ற பேச்செடுக்கும்போது எல்லாம் இந்தியாவின் பெயரை தூக்கி நிறுத்தி, மேல் நாட்டுக்காரர்களையும் தலை நிமர்ந்து , வியந்து பார்க்கவைத்தார் அவர் .. பெரிய பெரிய படிப்புகளையெல்லாம் பெரிய பெரிய ஆக்ஸ்போர்டு பல்கலைகழகத்திலோ , ஹார்வேர்டு பல்கலைகழகத்திலோ இதுபோல உலகப் புகழ் பெற்ற எந்த பல்கலைகழகத்திலும் சென்று படிக்காத அவர் பறவைகளைப் பற்றிய அறிவியல் துறையில் உலகம் போற்றும் மேதாவிகளாகத் திகழ்ந்தார்.
இந்தியாவின் பறவை மனிதன் உலக புகழ் பெற்ற பறவை ஆரய்சியாளாரான டாகடர் .சலீம் அலி தான் அந்த மனிதர் .

ReplyDeleteToday, I went to the beach front with my kids.
ReplyDeleteI found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
